EWINGER, Alexander
Alex Ewinger passed away peacefully in Ancaster, Ontario on Saturday June 25th at the age of 94. Alex was preceded in death by his beloved daughters Val & Elfie and his brother Rudy. He is survived by his loving grandchildren Eric, Samantha, Adam & Rory; his son-in-law Keith; and his nephews Peter & Gregory.
Alex transformed from a restless youth to a stable, dependable member of the community. That said, he still liked to shake things up with a hilarious off-the-cuff remark to keep everyone on their toes. He enjoyed his time with the Germania & Austrian Clubs, as well as fishing, and chatting up his lady friends over a cup of coffee. While a creature of habit, he was always willing to help someone out at the drop of a hat.
A private memorial will be held by his immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favourite charity. The family would like to thank and give appreciation to the wonderful caretakers at Willowgrove Long Term Care and the nurses, doctors, & support staff St. Joseph's Hospital for their loving care.
