Obituary for Albert Anthony Rodrigues

In loving memory, we announce the peaceful passing of Albert Rodrigues, aged 86, on May 12th, 2023, at Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, after bravely battling cancer. Albert was surrounded by his beloved wife Rosemarie and daughter Michelle at the time of his passing.

Albert was born on November 11th, 1936, in Goa, India, to Milagros Santana Rodrigues and Maria Alphonso Rodrigues. He dedicated his life to providing a beautiful life for his family, working hard in both India, Dubai and Canada. He cherished travelling with them, creating a lifetime of memories for his children.

Albert was a loving husband to Rosemarie and a caring father to his four daughters, Suzannah (Philip), Desere (Mario), Vanessa (Noel), and Michelle (John). He was a proud grandfather to his eight grandchildren, Rory, Tanith, Farah, Zeshan, Sofia, Micayah, Jenelle, and Jaydon, whom he loved and adored, and who will continue his legacy of love and kindness.

Albert was a dedicated parishioner of St. Raphael's Church in Burlington, where he and his wife Rosemarie were well-respected members of the church community.

The family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support received during this difficult time. They would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Carpenter Hospice for their unwavering dedication and compassion in providing excellent care to Albert during his final weeks. Their professionalism and kindness are beyond expectations and provided a peaceful and supportive environment for Albert and his family.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 3:00 - 5:00p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Raphael's Parish, 4072 New St, Burlington ON L7L 1S9 on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 11:00a.m. A Celebration of Life reception will follow in the church hall immediately after the Mass.
