Obituary for Agnes Wilson (MacDonald)

It is with peaceful hearts that we announce the passing of our dear loving mother who is now with her husband; together forever. She was surrounded by love through her children and grandchildren and peacefully left this world to be with God.

Born on January 24, 1922 in Cape Breton. Nova Scotia. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the age of 97. Loving wife of the late Patrick “P.J.” (2012). Dear mother of Joe (Lorna), Patrick (Paula), Darlene Kellner (Frank), Daryl (Yvonne), and Marianne. Cherished grandmother of Katrina (Luke) Russell, Brendan (Melanie) Kellner, Jenna-Leigh (Mason) Dawe, Rob and Brock Wilson, and step-grandmother of Joey (Shawna) Deveau. Great-grandmother of Abby and Leo Russell and step great grandmother of Devon, Samantha and Adam. Great-great grandmother of Clayton. Cherished sister of George predeceased by her eight brothers and sisters.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, September 10 from 7 – 9 p.m., with vigil prayers for Agnes at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Church (2261 Parkway Drive, Burlington) on Wednesday, September 11 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. For those who wish, memorial contributions in memory of Agnes to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
Our heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and nurses for helping us keep her in her home. She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace.
