O’ROURKE, Marie “Agnes” (nee Paré) -
Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at the age of 87. Predeceased by loving husband of 53 years, William “Bill / Barney” O’Rourke (October, 2011). Cherished mother of Mike O’Rourke (Kathy), Kathy Hicks (Bob), Mary Battaglia (Joe) and Ellen Morita (Tom). Devoted grandmother of Will, Jeremy (Jill), Laurel (Brendan), Colton and Ryan. Dear sister of late Rachel Bezaire (late Louis), Theresa Rocheleau (late Hector), Yvonne Seguin (late Joe) and late Blaise Paré (late Theresa). Agnes will also be fondly remembered by the extended Paré and O’Rourke families, nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Agnes will be remembered for her devotion to family, and her love of travel, margaritas and the Blue Jays. Special thank you to the doctors, nurses and support staff at Joseph Brant Hospital and La Salle Park Retirement for their kindness and compassion, and the excellent care provided. Visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 2016 Blairholm Avenue (at Brant Street), Burlington, on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 10-11am. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am. Private Interment for immediate family to be held at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Burlington. In accordance with provincial regulations, there is a limit to the number of visitors who may attend.
