Peacefully passed away at her home, Billings Court Manor, Thursday morning, December 7, 2017 at the age of 94. Anne came to Canada from Croatia in 1938. In 1942 in the former town of Creighton Mine, Ontario, she married her husband Mike Yurincich (predeceased in 2005). She was a loving mother to her late son John and his wife Mary Ann, and David and his wife Patricia. Proud grandmother to her five granddaughters, Joanne (husband Bill, daughter Angela), Linda (husband Steve), Susan (husband Steve, daughter Olivia, son Benjamin), Katelyn and Laura. Predeceased by her sisters Slavi Borkovich and Dragica Juran. Along with her husband Mike and sons, Anne is the former proprietor of the Coronation Sports Bar & Grill, which has served Burlington for 41 years. Anne was a loving, caring, joyful woman who was happiest when surrounded by her family. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Billings Court Manor for helping care for her over the past five years.
Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, December 10 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church (Brant Street at Blairholm, Burlington) on Monday, December 11 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
