Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Thursday, September 1, 2016, at the age of 103. Beloved wife of the Late Harry Smith (1973). Predeceased by her daughter Margaret (1999) and son-in-law Bill (2003). She will be greatly missed by her Grandchildren Peter Weild (Cherrie) and Eleanor Weild. Proud Great-grandmother of Philip Weild. She will be fondly remembered by her many siblings, extended family and friends. Private Cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday September 17, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at the funeral home. For those who wish, donations in memory of Irene to the Good Shepherd and the Burlington Humane Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
