Obituary for Dana Grace Morin

MORIN, Dana Grace

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Burlington, on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the age of 27. Cherished daughter of Alison and Shane Morin. Loving sister of Tayler and Regan (Mary). Beloved granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend.

Dana was an avid theatre fan, loving her time spent at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts. Her other passions included baking, polar bears, and Harry Potter. She was also a huge fan of Ed Sheeran and Shane Koyczan who both went above and beyond to make Dana feel special. Over the last 3 years, Dana took a few wonderful trips with her family. She remembered her trip to PEI as the best trip ever and spoke of it often.

The family wishes to extend thanks to the Wellwood Resource Centre and to the doctors, nurses and support staff of LHIN, Juravinski Hospital and Joseph Brant Hospital for their support, compassion, kindness and the excellent care provided to Dana. After her diagnosis, Dana was assisted by Pink Pearl Canada (pinkpearlcanada.org) and Young Adult Cancer Canada (youngadultcancer.ca). As Dana said, “they made me feel included, seen and not alone.” As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to either organization would be sincerely appreciated by the family. As per Dana’s wishes, in order to continue helping people her body will be donated to science through the University of Western Ontario.
