Kenneth Bird
Passed away suddenly at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Monday, September 22, 2014 at the age 70. Ken Bird, beloved husband of Maryanne Bird (nee Wheeler). Dear father of Allen Forgie (Liza), Sherri Marshall (Keith), Tina Stanley (Paul) and Kimberly Lavoie (Rob). Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Chris, Erin, Michelle, Katie, Lucas and Jacob. Ken is survived by his brothers Douglas (Jean Ann), Ronald (Kathy) and by his sister Lois Hamra. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends. A celebration of Ken’s life will take place at Compass Point Bible Church, 1500 Kerns Rd., Burlington, on Sunday, September 28, 2014, with a visitation from 1 pm until a Service of Remembrance at 2 pm. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations made to McMaster Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family. (Arrangements entrusted to SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333).
