Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, March 10, 2019, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Anna (2018) for 65 years. Loved father of Les Braun (the late Fenella) and Richard Braun (Kathy). Cherished grandfather of Nicholas (Chelsea), Alicia (Paul) and Courtney and great-grandfather of Evelyn and Maxwell. Dear brother of Frances Doncov (the late Alec) and Eva Poepple (Ferdinand). Predeceased by his siblings Willi, Mike, Louise and Annie. Les was honoured to be able to contribute to the Grimsby community through their years of ownership at the Depot Grocery and Delicatessen and Country Klean Laundromat. He was the life of the party. A consummate entertainer, he loved bringing music, dancing and singing to any gathering by playing his button accordian. His favourite expression still rings loud today, "One more time". Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Friday, March 15, 2019, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil Friday at 3:15 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby, on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment at Queen's Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
