Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, on Tuesday February 26, 2019 at the age of 65. Loving and devoted wife of Rick Bendle for 40 years. Proud mother of Bryan Bendle (Adele), and grandmother of Harrison and Lillian. Cherished sister of Darylene (late Donald), Lorraine (John), and Randy (Elizabeth). As per Doreen’s wishes a private cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 12:00pm. A Service of Remembrance will begin at 1:00pm, with a reception to immediately follow at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Doreen made to the Salvation Army (Burlington, ON) or IWK Foundation (Halifax, NS) would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
