Passed away at his home, on Friday, February 22, 2019, at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Shelley. Loved father of Rebecca and her husband Jeff Dougall. Cherished grandfather of Olivia, Pyper and Hunter. Dear brother of Nancy Strupp (Gary) and Richard Sanders. Predeceased by his parents Alice and Lewis Sanders and by his brother Ron Sanders. Son-in-law of Arthur and the late Minnie McAndrew and brother-in-law of Scott McAndrew (Sandy). He will also be dearly missed by his friends Carol and Ron Finucane and his dog Minnie. John was a long-time member of United Association Refrigeration Workers Local Union 787. A Memorial Gathering will take place at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, from 5 - 9 p.m., with tributes at 7 p.m. for those who wish to say a few words about John.
