Condolence: I have fond memories of Bryce from our days at Burlington Central High School where we were part of a group that got involved in the technical production side of school plays and concerts. We had lost touch until recently when we were both included in a "we're all right here" general missive from another old friend from that era who was living in the middle of a North Carolina hurricane. Bryce and I did some email and telephone catching up and were planning to get together for lunch soon...alas we did not quite make it happen, and for that I am sorry.

Condolence: Bryce and I never quite fit into the High School scene. We did totally un-cool things like photographing old trains and planes. And every day, after school, I was required to stop by his house and his Mom set out milk and cookies. I moved to North Carolina, but returning with my kids, we all sat down at the same formica table for milk and cookies. Later visits turned to Sam Adams beer. He would have had it much easier if he had been born 30 years later. The rigid school system never helped him with his mental block on math. And being gay in the '70s Toronto was still basically illegal. I'm starting my first side-car project and I'll miss his experience.

Condolence: Dear Catherine, Edith and David,

Our family is saddened to hear of Bryce's passing and remember fondly our visit with Dorothy to Eden Place to introduce my wife Ann and David and Susie to Helen and Bryce.

Having Mothers who were lifelong best friends and Fathers who mentored each other's boys, Bryce and I were literally friends from infancy.

I'm sure you heard the story of your Dad Jack tipping over the rowboat at Gull Lake when everyone (incl Bryce and I at ages 2) was dressed up to return to the City!

And I hope you have passed to Catherine the cribbage (life) skills learned while watching Cec & Jack bet nickels for a win and dimes for a skunk during those 7 summers at Fairfield Bay.

Jsck and Helen Lee were instrumental in setting my life's direction ("Go west Stewie")so Bryce and I were separated by distance after university. However, we remember fondly Bryce's long ago visit sll the way to Victoria (by car (pre-GoldWing!)

My electric train building always followed Bryce's lead. More recently we renewed our train relationship with Bryce being very helpful, as a fellow member of the TH&B Historical Society, in ensuring the accuracy of my never ending O-gauge rendition of the TH&B, circa 1950.

I'm very sorry not to be able to fly east to attend Bryce's Celebration next week, but we wish you three all the best and hope/know that everyone will remember as fondly as I, my friend, Bryce Lee.

Condolence: Although I did not know Bryce for a long time, without a doubt he was a good friend. I used to have tea with him about once a week and these were always 2-3 hour good times. The range of topics was amazing and I learned a lot from him. I will miss my friend, and our conversations

Condolence: Bryce was a friend for over 50 years. I could always count on his advice and his opinions. He taught me, at an early age, to respect others while enjoying our hobbies. I will truly miss his rabble.

Condolence: Knowing of Bryce's challenges this last year his passing was nonetheless a shock. The depth and breadth of Bryce's knowledge and interests was most impressive. I was pleased to be a part of his entry into the Amateur Radio world. His ongoing contributions to the Burlington Amateur Radio Club will certainly be missed. I regret that I will be unable to attend his Celebration of Life.
RIP Bryce

Condolence: I know the last years of your life were not kind, filled with ill health and doctor visits. Though I am so sorry to have lost a good friend, at least your passing was peaceful.

Condolence: Please accept sincere condolences on behalf of myself, my family and the folks at curdforum.net which Bryce joined briefly a few years ago.

I have been on sidecar outfits for over 30 years and Bryce was one of my mentors in the early days. We didn't communicate often during the last few years but I will miss knowing that he was out there there somewhere and expecting that our paths could cross again one day.

Condolence: Bryce was a gentle, very generous, giant to many of we rail fans. He gave his unconditional support to projects and causes that he wished to see, and that others would enjoy, always being silent in never desiring any profile amongst the listed supporters, at times, using phrases such as “supported by the Ministry of Uncertain Things.”

To many of us in the rail fan community, he will be sadly missed!
