Obituary for Harold Robert Raynham

RAYNHAM, Harold Robert -

Harold Robert Raynham, peacefully at Tansley Woods Retirement in Burlington on October 8, 2018 in his 98th year. Beloved husband for 62 years of the late Barbara (nee Bracken) (2017). Dear brother of the late Cyril Raynham, late Norman Raynham (late Kay), late Ken Raynham (Marion) of London, and Dorothy Daley (late Ken) of Fonthill. Fondly remembered by brother-in law Glenn Bracken (late Beverley) of Kingston, sisters-in-law Amy Bracken (late Fred) of Seeley’s Bay and Margaret Bracken (late George) of Kingston; loved and was loved by his numerous nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Special thank you to the staff at Tansley Woods for the excellent care provided.

Harold was a WWll RCAF veteran (#168 Squadron Mediterranean Area). In his younger years he was a well-respected softball pitcher and bowler. He retired from Stelco after 35 years in the Industrial Engineering Dept. Harold and Barbara were members of East Plains United Church for six decades and were active choir members for many years.

Private Cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at East Plains United Church, (375 Plains Road East, Burlington), on Saturday, October 20th at 11 AM, with a reception to follow in the church hall.
A Memorial Service and interment will be held at Olivet United Church in Seeley’s Bay on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harold’s memory to East Plains United Church or Olivet United Church Memorial Fund would be sincerely appreciated.
