Condolence From: Diane Damario
Condolence: My sincere condolences to Joanne's family. I felt privileged to have met Joanne through hockey. It was always a pleasure to talk to her. She was always full of encouragement and had a great sense of humour. It was also always a challenge to play against her hockey team when she was in net. May all the good memories of Joanne help you through this sad period.

Condolence: Jo loved life on the ice and off. Even with all of the hardships she endured, you could always count on Jo to have your back. I'm sure I scored on her more times than I care to remember (I was her defenceman) but we always had a good laugh about it. Jo also shared lots of helpful advice when I became a new mom and loved to share stories about her kids and grandson up in the bar after the game. Thanks for the great memories Jo.

Condolence From: Janet Calderone
Condolence: My condolences to the family. "Jo" was such and kind and gentle person. I remember one year our team "Action" went on a trip and she asked me to go fishing with her, I will always remember our quiet time on the banks of some river up north. And to this day I have my fishing licence that I had to buy! I made her sign it and date it and I still have that licence as it was such a event. Jo was a great person and I was blessed that our paths crossed. Janet Calderone

Condolence: My condolences to your family on losing Joanne. Although I only knew Joanne for a single year, anyone who she considered a friend will know this - if she became your friend, she meant it, in the purest sense. Joanne, although so many of us are saddened by your leaving too soon, I hope you are at peace, free from pain, and smiling down on us all.

Condolence: When Anna and I were at our trailer the first year, a huge storm hit. At the time, we didn't know we needed to put one side of the awning down. It wasn't long until I heard someone at my door asking if Anna and I were okay. It was my friend Joanne. She was the first to welcome us and the first to make sure all was well with us. I also make sure to close the windows above the propane tanks after her telling me the story of a raccoon trying to get in at the same spot at her trailer. I will always think of Joanne every time I close that window. We have so many good memories of music, movies and laughter that we will hold dear to our hearts.
