Mrs Reid, My childhood buddy Steve and Shawn, Little Nancy, having just also recently lost my father, as well as my Mother, I feel your pain. My memories of you all go back a long ways, back to the sixties, fond memories they are. Growing up, I was proud, and bragged to others that there across the street lives Burlington's Fire department Captain, dep. chief. Memories that go back to before Burlington could be confidently called a city. We could not ask for a better place to grow up, and we could never ask for a better man than our Father's,I am so grateful to have had such a good man for a Father, as I am positive you feel the same about your dad. He might seem permanently far away from you now, but trust me on this, as time goes on, he will start feeling closer, and the pain will gradually turn to bouts of joy, when you think back upon forgotten memories, and you'll start slowly healing as you become aware in a strange way, that he is alive, and he is waiting, for the ultimate reconciliation. God Bless, Roger Northall

Steve, Shawn, Nancy, the loss of a father is great, my deepest condolences. Uncle Don was a kind caring man, who touched the lives of so many. Memories last forever, he will never be forgotten. He will always be around you. Know I’m thinking of all of you. Please take care of Aunt Verna.

It may seem strange to light a candle for a firefighter, but it's not what he did, but what he leaves behind that is important. May he shine on with you and your family forever. Our condolences to you Steve and your family.
