Dorothy Rowena Baxter (nee Hardy)

With great sadness we announce the passing of our mother. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Dr. James D. Baxter, cherished mother of Ann Baumgartl (Peter) and Barbara Baxter (Donald). Proud grandmother of Sabrina Hall (David), Kimberley Baumgartl (Jamie Matthews), James “Jay” Baumgartl, Amanda Baxter, Jessica Baxter (Michael King) and Ashley Baxter, and cherished great-grandmother of Nicola, Jacob, Mikayla, Aiden, Damien and Owen. Pre-deceased by all her siblings.
She and James lead a phenomenal and exciting life for over 70 years together. They were the love of each others lives, sharing most of their life in Montreal before retiring to Burlington and Florida.
The past 4 years were hard due to failing health. She passed away at home with her 2 loving daughters by her side- Forever in our hearts.
Service of Remembrance at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), Burlington, 905-632-3333 on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Enichement at Bayview Mausoleum, Burlington. If desired, donations to the Burlington Humane Society would be sincerely appreciated.
