ATTARD, Michael Joseph

Michael succumbed peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the age of 76, following a ten-year struggle with kidney disease. Michael was the beloved husband of Lily Attard (Grech) for 52 years and loving father to Ken, Mark and his late daughter, Rachel, as well as his cherished daughters-in-law, Cheryl and Mary Beth. ‘Nannu’ was adored by his grandchildren, Evan (18), Cassia (15), Hayden (14), and Julian (11), and he followed their active lives passionately. He is also survived in Malta by his dear sisters, Rose Spiteri (Charles) and Margaret Delicata (Lino). Michael will be greatly missed by the extended Attard and Grech families and his friends in Malta and Canada.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2265 Headon Road, Burlington, Ontario Canada on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10:30 am with a reception to follow at the church. A Memorial Service will also be held at St. Patrick’s Church in Sliema Malta on Monday August 1st .

Memorial donations can be made to Dar Tal Providenza in Malta where loving care had been provided for his daughter Rachel or to The Kidney Foundation of Canada in Memory of Michael Attard.
