Amsterdam

I worked for Heidelberg at the time and Battlefield Graphics was a very loyal and valued customer but most of all we were friends.  Paul and I went to a factory tour one day while attending Drupa.  We thought it would be a great idea to take the train to Amsterdam for a few hours just to say, you know, been there.  After several hours of walking the city it was time to take the train back to Dusseldorf for Paul to be ready for the flight in the morning to meet his wife in England. This is where we had communication problems with German language and train systems.  After many tranfers, we were lost a could not make it through the whole country of Holland and ended up back where we started 1 and a half hours later.  In a somewhat panik now we decided ( with no other option ) to take a taxi ( Through the entire country of Holland ) because Paul could not miss flight in the morning.  He did make the flight and I made it to work on time and ONLY Paul and his son Richard know to cost of the taxi.

I will remember this as long as I live.

R.I.P my friend Paul
