Johnson, Eleanor Margaret (nee Shaw) - Peacefully at Cama Woodlands Nursing Home, Burlington, ON on Thursday, September 20, 2007 in her 98th year. Eleanor, beloved wife of the late Joseph. Loving mother of Brian and his wife Marlene, Keith and his wife Marian. Cherished grandma of Danielle, Michael, Meaghen, Mark, and Sarah. Dear aunt of Marilyn Starzynski, Judith Campbell both of Toronto and Linda Flynn of Liverpool, England. Predeceased by her sisters Dorothy, Frances, and Anne. Eleanor was a Veteran who was proud of her services to the War Blind - St. Dunstans in England during WWII. This contribution to Canada was celebrated with her fellow Veterans and life long friends through the Overseas Club. She also volunteered for 50 years at The Canadian Red Cross. Her 30 plus years of retirement were highlighted by travelling with her husband and many happy family occasions. Eleanor`s wide range of interests and living life to the fullest are the family`s fondest memories. Cremation has taken place. A Service to Celebrate her Life will take place at St. George`s Anglican Church, Willowdale at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Red Cross Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
