THORPE, Barbara Lavinia (nee Fenton)
November 22, 1924 – November 17, 2017


Five days before her 93rd birthday, Barbara passed away peacefully at Burloak Long Term Care (Burlington), after a lengthy battle with dementia. Predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Claude Walter (1996), they are finally together again, along with dogs Peaches and Molly. Much loved, and sadly missed by her children Beverly, Gregory and Susan. Cremation has taken place and no service will follow as per her wishes. Many thanks to everyone at Burloak Long Term Care, for their constant support and compassionate care over the past five years. Arrangements being handled by Smith’s Funeral Home, Burlington (905-632-3333). Donations in her honour, made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Burlington Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
