Condolences

Condolence From: Dan Tereck
Condolence: I met Jim through the Canadian Tenpin Federation. I was a Director on the CTF Board, and he was one of the delegates for his bowling association. I met him twice in person at our Annual Meetings. We immediately "hit it off". I liked him from the moment I met him. We continued our "relationship" mostly via email over the years. He was one of our most consistent reporters for the CTF Connection publication - never missing a deadline in over 5 years! And he was an important contributor for our pubication's "Throwback" page, which included a picture or two from the past - "Mr Bowling" always had historical bowling information for us. Jim and I continually bantered about his Hamilton Tiger Cats and my Winnipeg Blue Bombers. We had hopes that one day our two teams would meet in the Grey Cup game. Sadly, Jim will miss that event, should it happen. Jim had a great sense of humor, and I will miss our discussions about football, hockey, the weather, and of course, bowling. My condolences to the entire family.

Condolence: Uncle James, you were the best uncle any niece could ever ask for. I wouldn't have it any other way. You always put family first and had a smile on your face. On our bowling team, I was the "smartie", which you always got a kick out of. I will miss joking about that with you. I love you and will miss you terribly. Love Denise

Condolence: To Ed, Denise and the family, I am truly sorry for your loss. I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Jim. I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to meet Jim when I first joined the league over 12 years ago, and bond with him over the years. If not for this league, I would never have gotten to know this great man. We do not realize how much of an impact someone has on your life until they are gone. We were not just a bowling league, Jim made us feel like we were family. Jim was always high spirited, and would bring your spirits up if you were down. His kind words, a simple smile, or quirky smile, or his little dance shuffle, always made my day. It will not be the same without him, but we must be strong and continue on, for Jim. He always called me a queen, (inside joke when playing cards) but he will always be the king. Rest in peace Jim.

Condolence From: Jim Jordan
Condolence: To Edward and family, sorry to hear of James passing. James used to come up north annually to visit the area, he often stayed with us. More often then not it was a call from North Bay saying that he was on his way. It was usually around Lori’s Birthday in August and we always welcomed him. He was a low maintenance guest, he would not always be up when we left for work, but he was always back in time for supper. He loved to talk about family history and over a glass of (forced) wine, the photo albums would come out, and we would be regaled with his knowledge of the Margueratt family. Quite often I would say good night to leave Lori and James at the table talking. He had a voice that we used to say “ he learned to whisper in a sawmill” it was a deep baritone that resonated. He couldn’t talk quietly. Once he had been out running the back roads around Tomstown and Wendigo and his car was filthy, I washed it for him, and you’d think I had done him a huge favour, he couldn’t thank me enough. He loved the North and he loved his family, Edward’s girls were obviously very special to him, he always showed us photos and told us all about them. I will always remember his loud “HELLO COUSIN” when he saw Lori, Rest In Peace Jim.

Condolence: My brother James was someone who you would expect a brother to be, and I couldn't ask for anything more than that. He was honest and true to everyone he knew. He was more than a brother, he was my best friend. I'll miss our regular Wednesday lunches. Together forever with Mom and Dad. All our love, Edward and Sandra.
