Condolence: We were so saddened to read of Bill's passing. He was such a great guy and went out of his way many times for our family, whether it was checking back with Dr. Vanderbent when my Mother-in-law had shingles and he discovered that she was within the timeline to put her on the medication, he just picked up the phone and called Dr. Van himself and let him know. The Dr. gave him the ok to perscribe what she needed and she was cured within 1 week. The other most memorable time was when, on a Saturday evening, the pharmacy was ready to close and there wasn't time to race into town to fill Mrs. K's perscription, so I gave Bill a call anyway & explained our situation. The farm was on his way home, down Hwy.25. He said, "Meet me at the end of the lane at the highway & I'll drop it off." Now who, but your local pharmacist from Acton, would do such a noble gesture. Rest in Peace Bill. Your little angel boy will be waiting there to meet you. Love from John & Ruth Kranendonk

Condolence: Hi Jackie and John,

So sorry that you have lost such a dear husband and father, and for me, a wonderful boss. I have so many happy memories of 25 years working at Acton pharmacy. Such a great atmosphere and the old girls enjoy meeting up for lunch twice a year. My Don passed away June 18th from pneumonia, so I know very much how you are feeling now. my thoughts are with you. With deepest sympathy, Lise.

Condolence: To Jackie, I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. As you know, my brothers, Paul & John, worked for Bill at Acton Pharmacy. My mother, Mary, babysat your sons, Topher & John. Bill was generous and super-helpful, playing a big role in helping me get into the pharmaceutical industry. I will always be grateful to him. I remember him as a true character with a great sense of humour, and also a bright businessman. Our family and your family will always be meshed together in memories and experiences. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time.
