Obituary for Naomi Grace Talia Duval

Naomi Grace Talia Duval
Naomi, Spreader of Joy.
Naomi was adopted into our family as a precious newborn baby. A true gift from God -- she immediately brought such incredible joy into our home. From an early age, her joyful and caring nature touched all who knew her.
At the age of 2, she was treated over 18 months for a rare form of cancer. We recall even in the hospital, she never lost her bright smile and laughter.
Her elementary years, at John Knox Christian, saw her develop a true servants heart.
A joyful participant during many activities on the Servant Team, like raking leaves at homes of people with cancer -- recycling team, and younger student mediation group.
This continued in high school, with Naomi's service on the Tech Team -- recently she announced during microphone testing: "Hello, King's Christian Collegiate, this is Radio Naomi here - it's a beautiful day! No "test, 1,2,3 for Naomi!
When Naomi saw people sitting alone at school, she asked them to join her group. She would insist until they actually did, because she loved freely. Her desire in school was always greater to help others around her, than even her own grades.
She loved building things -- King`s Robotics Club was a passion -- and had aspirations to become a mechanical engineer. We spent many happy moments together, building all sorts of complex robotic devices.
Naomi loved playing with the kids on our block. Our home and porch were so often a hub of (loud!) activity. She always included everyone, having a deep love for younger children.
Through it all Naomi displayed the attributes of Christ: Love one another, with a gentleness of spirit. We are so proud of her and will miss her incredibly, but have that precious assurance we will be together again.
Naomi, you are with Jesus, dancing around clouds and chasing butterflies.
We love you.
