Christine Anne  Bailey
Surrounded by her loving family, passed on January 4th, 2019 at Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, at the age of 70.She will be sadly and forever missed by her husband of 30 years, Robert (Bob) Crutchlow, her daughter Allison Parent (Greg) and grandsons Ryan and Tyler, her brother Alan Baynton (Marcia), her niece Karen Ferreira, and nephews Jeff Baynton, Ken Baynton, and David Baynton, and their families. Chris was predeceased by parents Alfred and Eileen Baynton, sister Kathleen, and brother Roger. Chris was a Waterdown / Burlington girl and spent her winters coaching Junior curlers at the Burlington Curling Club. She was a past president of BCC and was totally involved in all sections of the club. Chris was a winner of the Harry Clarke Award for outstanding service to the BCC. Chris was an employee of Bell Canada for 30 years.Chris was the magnet in the room.They say if you have one good friend you are lucky. Chris was that friend to countless people. She conducted herself with grace and dignity until the very end and serves as an example for anyone who knew her. Chris will be in our hearts always. The family wishes to acknowledge the kindnesses shown to Chris at the Joseph Brant Hospital and the love received at the hands of the care givers at the Carpenter Hospice. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9. A Service of Remembrance will take place at Wellington Square United Church (2121 Caroline Street, Burlington) on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Carpenter Hospice, Ovarian Cancer Canada or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
