Obituary for John Frank Filice

It is with profound sadness that we announce John's sudden passing on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, in his 60th year. Beloved husband of Corrie and cherished father of Sean (Amanda) and Jesse. Much loved younger brother and uncle to Renato (Maureen), Ryan (Jennifer), Emily and Jennifer (Daniel). Special brother and uncle to Rose, Julie (Mark) and Olivia (Chris). Predeceased by his parents Mario and Marietta Filice. Treasured son-in-law of Dave and Dorothy Robbins. Brother-in-law of David (Tamara) and Richard. Uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. Dearly missed by his best friend Tino Iannone. John's endearing personality and infectious sense of humour leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his many long time friends. John was not only a skilled mechanic, but an expert handyman. His favourite saying was "Always Thinking!". Special thanks to St. Joseph's Hospital, 7th Floor Nephrology staff and ICU unit. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers 4:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, 166 West Street, Smithville, on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Private family entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to The Mark Preece Family House or St. Joseph's Healthcare Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
