Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Arbour Creek Care Home on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the age of 80. Predeceased by her beloved husband Salvatore (2004). Loving mother of Maria Antonietta Gennaro (Angelo), Lorie DiMatteo (John), Franca Galati (Pat), Patricia Lynden (Nate), Francesco Spina (Jenn) and Lucia Vella (Sal). Cherished Nonna of Christina, Andrea, Jessica, Stefano, Matthew, Natalie, Noah, Adam, Torré, Geneva, Joshua, Joseph and Jacob. Bisnonna of Christian. Dear sister of the late Carmela Rubini of Hamilton. Maria will also be missed by extended family and friends in Canada and Italy. Thanks to the staff of Arbour Creek Care Home for their sincere care and compassion.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Roman Catholic Church, Nash Road and Barton Street, Hamilton on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Bayview Cemetery & Mausoleum.
