Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the age of 87. Predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth “Lisa” (nee Seibert). Will be deeply missed by his companion Odile. Beloved father of Tom (Wendy), Chris (Janice), Danny (Jill) and Lora (Brian). Proud grandfather to eight; Mark, Tracy, Tim, Steven, Nick, Nathan, Holly and Tia. Doting great-grandfather to Bradley, Cali and Juliet. Remembered by his sister Hanne and extended family in Germany. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, November 16 from 12 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel starting at 1 p.m. Cremation and interment to take place at a later date. If desired, donations in Joe’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
