Obituary for Emil Komac

Emil  Komac
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 24, 2018. Beloved husband of Tersilla Komac (nee Beraldo) for over 61 years. Loving father of Suzanna Shaunessy (Steven), Dennis Komac (Cheryl), Nancy Zuccherato (Michael). Dearest Nonno of Leah, Christopher, Kelly, Nicole, Renee, Alec and Dante. Brother of Liljana Ivancic (Alois) of Slovenia. Predeceased by brother Andreja Komac (Silvia). Will be dearly missed by extended family in Canada, Italy and Slovenia. Emil was a man who valued family above all and devoted his life to his family. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the kind and compassionate staff at Joseph Brant Hospital.

Visitation will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333), on Thursday, September 27 from 6 -9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church, 4072 New Street, Burlington on Friday, September 28 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
