Obituary for Christiana Aaltje Balt (Van Hunen)

Peacefully, gone to be with her Lord, on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, in her 105th year. Beloved wife of the late Dirk Balt (1991). Loved mother of Peter Balt (Fran), Jacob Balt (the late Trudy), Jane Sakes (Norm), Betty Keus (Harry) and Chris Rijgersberg (Joe). Cherished grandmother of 32 grandchildren 48 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Predeceased by her ten siblings. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Thursday, August 30, 2018, from 6:30 - 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place at Ebenezer Reformed Church, 621 Highway #8, Stoney Creek, on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 1 p.m. Private family interment to follow at Queen's Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Shalom Manor would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
