Passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Donna for 55 years. Loving father of Jimmie (Tammy), Judy (James) and Jeff (Nikki). Cherished grandfather of James, Janine, Jessica, Mason, Natalie, Joey, Taylor, Briana, Reno and Bri. Dear brother of David (Carol). Predeceased by brother Kenneth. Missed also by cousins Doug (Lyla) Dobson, sister-in-law Janet Mackay (late Jim) and their families. Jim was well known for his work of over 60 years in the elevator business. He was an avid Hamilton Tiger-Cats fan and a loving, dedicated family man. He will be deeply missed by all. Special thanks to the staff of the Juravinksi Hospital (CICU & Ward 3) for their sincere care and compassion. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Tuesday, August, 28, 2018 from 12 noon until time of Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
