It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Grant Johnston on August 12, 2018, at Joseph Brant Hospital in his 88th year. Grant is predeceased by his wife Phyllis (2015).
Grant will be greatly missed by his daughter Susan, son Steve (Debbie), granddaughters Sarah and Hannah, and brother Ed (Nancy); predeceased by sister Doreen.

He will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends in Ontario and New Brunswick.

Grant was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and moved to Ontario with his family at a young age. He enjoyed a career with the Royal Bank of Canada and held various positions throughout Eastern Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick, retiring as Vice-President Trade Services- International. Grant was a long-time member of the Burlington Golf and Country Club.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church (2016 Blairholme Ave., Burlington) on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation has taken place. For those who wish, memorial contributions to St. Vincent de Paul Society, would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
