Condolence From: Russ's children
Condolence: Our Dad taught each of us important life lessons, not by edicts or lectures but by quiet understated example. Hard work, reliability, graciousness, politeness and the value of a dollar , all were on display throughout his life within our family. Our father and mother were joined at the hip for 63 years , so we must now adapt to a changed family reality. Our Dad loved his family, enjoyed all occasions when we got together and he revelled in the opportunity to help each and every family household with a repair or renovation project. As his health declined , right up to his last breathe, he knew he was surrounded by family who loved him. Everyone had a chance to talk, to soothe , to comfort him. Every person in the family had a chance to say thank you and say good bye. Our father's demise brought sorry in his passing, brought relief in knowing his suffering had ended and finally brought a sense of beauty knowing his soul has ascended to heaven to reside with the angels. A fitting end to a life well lived . We will miss our Father, Dad, Plabs.
