Passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the age of 96. Predeceased by loving wife Norma Rice (nee Noble) (2003). Devoted father of Janet Dickson (Angus “Gus”), Philip Rice (Susan), Susan Hulbert (David), and Paul Rice (Alison Dakin). Cherished grandfather of Tom Dickson (Liza), Rob Dickson (Kathy), Daniel Jestin, Ryan Kelly (Joelle), and Alan Rice, and proud great-grandfather of T.J., Aaron, Lexi, Jenna and Quinn. Dear brother of Frank Rice. Predeceased by parents Cecil and Francis Rice (nee Cowling), and siblings Jack, Betty and Peggy. Peter will also be missed by extended family, neighbours and many friends. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Joseph Brant Hospital for all of their care and support. As per his wishes, Private Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Interment Service for immediate family will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
