Obituary for Garnet Weller Kerr

Garnet Weller Kerr
In his 94th year, our much-loved dad, grandpa and great grandpa died peacefully in his sleep Friday, January 26, 2018. Loving husband to the late Irene, married for 64 years. Mourning his loss are his beloved children Ron (late Sue), Brian (Taryl), Marilyn (Gord), Steve (Manon) and Paul, his 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents and siblings. An active golfer of 60 years, he was passionate about bridge and travel and was very much a part of his Catholic community. He served in the Essex Scottish Regiment from 1942- 1945 where he was involved in active combat in Europe. He was a 47 year employee of FW Woolworth Company, ending his career as a Senior Vice President and General Manager of Canada. Garnet was a gracious man and always brought out the best in everyone he knew.
