Obituary for Mary Theresa Goodson
Goodson, Mary Theresa
Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, in Grimsby on Monday, November 6, 2017 in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of Peter for 48 years. Loving and devoted mother of Natalie Hildebrandt and Christopher Goodson (Jennifer). Cherished grandmother "Mimi" of Meghan, Logan, Jade, Paige, Amelia, and Xavier. Dear sister of the late Althea Abrahams (Michael), the late Vanessa Whorms (Raymond), Loraine Neale (Johnny), Donna Giguere (Shawn), Christina "Tina" Sorapure (Christopher), Peter LeMercier-DuQuesnay (Annette), and Thomas "Tommy" LeMercier-DuQuesnay (Leonie). Mary will be missed by many extended family and friends in Jamaica and Oshawa. Mary was passionate about the beauty of gemstones and jewelry. She was an avid reader and skilled seamstress. Mary will be fondly remembered as a friend to her community as a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grimsby. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil at 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The McNally House or a charity of choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
