Obituary for Francesco Berlingieri

Francesco  Berlingieri
Berlingieri, Francesco

July 3, 1941 - October 9, 2017

It is with extreme sorrow that we announce the passing of a True Gentleman, Francesco "Franchino" Berlingieri, loving husband to the love of his life, Maria (nee Gatto), father and mentor to his children Eugene and Keri, Alessandro and Jane, and Ida and Larry Canaon. Biggest cheerleader and Nonno to his beautiful grandchildren Daniel, Natasha, Francesco, Isabella, Alessia, Alessandro, Sienna and our little angel baby Francesco. Son of the late Eugenio and Ida (nee Panzetta) and son-in-law of Ida and the late Michele Gatto, brother-in-law of Silvana and Renato Berlingieri and Frank Gatto. Loving Zio to Massimo and Jen and Lily, and Michele and Elisa. Francesco was an only child but he was like a brother to his many cousins, especially to our compari Antonio and Judy Spadafora, John and Bianca Berlingieri and Maria Berlingieri. A very charismatic personality with a distinguished voice that will be remembered by all. Special thanks to Dr. Marcaccio and our family doctor, Dr. May Mohamad, and to the nurses on Ward E4 oncology for their care and compassion. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Thursday, October 12, and Friday, October 13, 2017 from 3-8 p.m. Prayer Vigil on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 934 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. Cremation will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation and Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation.

"Until we dance again, my love"

Maria

God saw you were getting tired
and a cure was not to be;
so He put His arms around you
and whispered,
“Come to Me”
