Newham, Barbara Ann (nee Daville)

Barb passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in the presence of her beloved daughter Sarah (Newham) and niece Wendy (Hebert). Loving mother to daughters Linda Boss, the late Nancy Morgan, and grandmother to Stephen Boss. Cherished sister to Lorraine McClelland. Predeceased by her sister Beverly Male and parents Alma and Frank Daville. Dear partner of the late Douglas Scott. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to many friends for their care and concern for Barb over the last year.

Barb's passion was music and her profession as a private piano teacher. She was an active volunteer in several arts and community organizations such as: the Ontario Registered Music Teacher's Association (ORMTA); the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra Guild (past president) and the first Probus club for women in North America (founder and first president).

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Port Nelson United Church, 3132 South Drive, Burlington. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto (spring 2018). A Memorial Donation to Music TORONTO or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
