Beloved Uncle Hugh to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Hugh Macpherson and Marie (nee Bovaird).

Hugh was born in London, Ontario and grew up in Stratford. He graduated from Queen’s University in 1951with a degree in Civil Engineering, and later furthered his education in Business Administration at The University of Western Ontario.

As a student, he spent his summers working for Bill King at King Paving Company Ltd. Later, as a Professional Engineer, he began a brief career at Imperial Oil, before being asked by Bill King to return. In 1983, he purchased what is now KPM Industries Ltd. with two partners. He continued in his role as CEO with his longstanding partner Hank Hutter and later provided guidance for the next generation of ownership. He is past President of the Ontario Road Builders Association and Ready Mixed Concrete Association of Ontario.
Hugh was well respected for the leadership he provided, his unassuming generosity and many contributions to his community including: Queen’s University Bursary Fund for Engineering Students, Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Nelson Youth Centres, and The Carpenter Hospice.

Hugh’s passion was his family and spending time with them on Lake Muskoka’s Bala Bay, around the pool and on the golf course. He enjoyed traveling with his family, especially with Barbara to Treasure Cay, Bahamas.
For many years, he was a member of Port Nelson United Church, a longstanding member of The Burlington Golf & Country Club including past member of the Board of Directors and member of the Port Carling Golf Club.
