Obituary for Laura Anne Riches

After a courageous battle with cancer, Laura passed away peacefully at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends, on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. Devoted mother to Stephanie and greatly loved daughter of Agnes and the late David Riches. Dear sister of David Riches (Joumana), Anthony Riches, Dean Riches (Stacy) and the late Mark Riches. Proud and loving aunt of Deanna, Justine, Liam, Conor, Eric and Julia. Laura will also be missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends throughout Canada and overseas. Laura was a loyal, valued and respected employee at John Deere for over 35 years. The family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for their caring and kindness. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Sunday and Monday, August 13 and 14, 2017, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer Vigil Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby, on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial contributions to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
