With profound sadness the family announces the passing of Rick, tragically in Wawa as the result of an accident on Sunday July 9, 2017 at the age of 58. Rick was the most amazing and loving husband to Anne (nee Western), the proudest father to Jennifer (Terry Lima), Eric (Melissa), Cody and the happiest Grampa to Eastyn, Lincoln and grandbaby #3 on the way. Rick was a very loving son to Willie and Josie Chemerika. Predeceased by his parents-in-law Max and Gladys Western. Fun and loving brother to Jan (Leo Sanderson), Laurie (Chuck Pander), Wendell, Madelene (Ken Robb) and Michelle Swiscoski. Brother-in-law to Larry Western (Joanne) and John Western (Linda), predeceased by Bill Western. Crazy Uncle Rick to Michael, Stephen, Andrew, Allen, David, Brian, Shayla, Michael, Nicole, Tanner, Katrina, Alyssa, Rachel, Alexis, Jill and great-uncle to many. Rick was the proud owner of A&R Heating & Cooling for many years. He lived his life to the fullest with much laughter, happiness and was always seen with a smile. Visitation at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby, on Friday, July 14, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m., with Vigil Prayers at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church, on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Grimsby Mountain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to McNally House Hospice or Rose Cottage would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
