It is with heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Derek on Friday, June 16th, 2017 in his 88th year, surrounded by the love of his family. Loving husband of Sheila for 66 years. Beloved father of Stephen of British Columbia , Christopher and Philip of Alberta , Carol Suttell (Lee) , Helen , Graham , and Lisa Huisman ( Richard) , all of Grimsby, Ontario. Cherished and devoted grandfather of Devon and Sarah Suttell, Hilary Derreck, Taylor and Lauren Wellings and Celine Rickard. Dad was born in Devon England. Dear brother of Margaret and Geoff, predeceased by his siblings John, Charles and Sandra. Missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. As per Derek's wishes, cremation has taken place.
