DIER, Helen Doreen (nee Bartlett)
Peacefully passed away at The Brant Centre on Thursday, June 1, 2017 in her 86th year. Beloved wife for over 66 years to Stan Dier. Loving mother to Catherine (John) and Bill (Linda). Proud grandma to Sean (Jenn), Kevin (Marie) and Kate, and dear great-grandma to Taylor and Trystan. Helen was involved with many volunteer groups and loved playing bridge, but most of all loved spending time with her family and friends. A special thanks to CCAC, Care Partners, Region of Halton and The Brant Centre for your help in caring for Helen over the past several years. As per Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
