After a courageous battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Mary Lynn passed away suddenly at Joseph Brant Hospital on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of John Fazio. Loving mother of Laurie Babirad (Paul) of Oakville, Jennifer Fazio (Warner Biddle) of California and Sarah Fazio of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Ethan, Sofia, Blake, and Matthew (predeceased). Survived by her sister Stephanie Flynn (Jack) of Collingwood and sister-in-law Mary Stefan (Jerry) of Hannon. Predeceased by her parents William and Loretta Partland and brother Brian. After graduating from The University of Western Ontario with a BScN in 1963, Mary Lynn enjoyed a fulfilling career teaching at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hamilton, Mohawk College and Sheridan College. After retirement, she enjoyed travelling, cruising, drinking wine in the backyard and going on picnics with her loving husband John, who was her best friend and soulmate. Her love and devotion to her family will always be remembered. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9p.m. Vigil prayers at 8:30p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church, 4072 New Street, Burlington on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11a.m. Reception to follow. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mary Lynn are asked to please consider the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.
