Obituary for Annie Krilyk (Kwasney)

Annie (nee Kwasney) Krilyk

Peacefully on April 16th at Billings Court Manor in Burlington Ontario in her 103rd year. Beloved mother of Ron (Jane) Krilyk and Carol Cooil. Survived by brothers Peter of Thorold Ontario and Terry (Hazel) of Sechelt B.C. as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Bill, Mike, Harry, Nick, John, David and sisters Olga, Jenny and Mary. She will be greatly missed by her amazing friend Denise Sylvester. Annie was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 26, 1914 and lived most of her life in Wynyard Saskatchewan, Sarto Manitoba and Hamilton Ontario. She loved to garden and always paid attention to good nutrition. She was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Parish church in Burlington. Special thanks to the caring staff and volunteers at Billings Court Manor for their kindness and gentle care during the past 12 years. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 12 noon until the Service of Remembrance begins at 1:00pm. Reception to follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Canadian Red Cross Burlington Branch or to a charity of your choice.
