Those We Love Remain With Us

Those we love remain with us
for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one’s gone.

Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart,
for as long as there is memory,
they’ll live on in the heart.

After a courageous battle with cancer, we announce the passing of Barb at The Carpenter Hospice, on February 23, 2017, at the age of 56. Beloved spouse of Jack for 28 years. Cherished mother to John and girlfriend, Olivia. Loving daughter of William and Claire Gautby. Missed by her sisters Janet Gautby, Gaye (David) Cheatley and Charlene (Jay) Neill. Dear sister-in-law to Clayton (Lorna) Fearon and Russ Fearon and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. Barb had a passion for life and a love for animals. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 3-5 and 6-9 pm. For those who wish, donations in memory of Barb may be made to the Carpenter Hospice.
