NETTLETON, Edward Lawrence “Ted” -

Ted a.k.a. Terrible Ted passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the age of 79. He passed from a short fight against cancer – and still kept cracking jokes until the end. Loving husband of Diane (nee Sommerville) for 53 years. Cherished father of Jaclyn Nettleton (Russell Millar) and Kelly Oliviera (Messias). Proud grandfather of Christian and Sofia. Dear brother of Joyce Nettleton and her daughter Coby Derksen, both of Denver, Colorado. Ted will also be missed by his niece Lori Luimes (Henry), many other extended family and numerous friends. Private Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 4-7pm. If desired, donations in Ted’s memory to the Autism Ontario – Halton Chapter or an organization of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Ted you will be greatly missed.
