It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Stephen in Grimsby on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at the age of 46. Beloved husband of Christina. Devoted and loving father of Roman. Cherished son of Helen and Paul and dear brother of Patricia Tosello and Kevin (Rochelle). Stephen will be dearly missed by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Gino and Vera Bifano, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Laura and Daniel Volpato, and Anna and Mark Barbieri, aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Steve touched the lives of so many with his loving and kind spirit. He had a gentle way of making you feel loved and anyone graced by his presence will forever be truly blessed. Tomiko Lake was the golden thread that guided our precious Steve to become the remarkable man that we know and cherish. He was a caring and dedicated educator with the HWCDSB, and will be dearly missed by all staff and students in a profound way. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222 ) on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Prayer Vigil at 3 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby, on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions to the MS Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
