"A beautiful life came to an end, she died as she lived, everyone's friend. In our hearts a memory will always be kept, of one we loved, and will never forget."

With great sadness and heavy hearts, our beloved mother and grandmother has been reunited with the love of her life, Michelangelo. Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, October 16th, 2016 at her home, at the age of 67. Loving mother of Lucia DiTullio (Maurizio) and John DiMarco (Lisa). She leaves behind her four precious grandchildren that she devoted her daily life to; Malissa, Michael, Daniel and Lucas. Survived by her brothers Domenico DiMarco (Tolmina), Paolo DiMarco (Maria) and brother-in-law Silvio DiMarco (Rosa). Predeceased by her brothers-in-law Narciso DiMarco (Giovanna) and Pasquale DiMarco (survived by Rosa). She was a special zia to her nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Splendora will be forever missed. She leaves behind her legacy of honest whole hearted love for all that knew her. We love you so much "Nonna Dora". The family wishes to express their sincere thank you to the emergency response team for the dignity and compassion they demonstrated. Thank you to her friends and family that have always been there to support and love her unconditionally. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10 am. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
