Passed away peacefully with family by her side, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, September 22, 2016. Predeceased by her parents John Larocque and Catharine (nee Thompson) and her late husbands; Marc Maynard and James Baxendale. Loving mother of Susan Maynard (James Elie), and proud nana of Marc, Catherine and Nicole. Dear sister of Mae Par (late Alf) and Douglas Larocque (Martha). Loving aunt of Steven McLeod (Jeanne), Linda Bauman (Les), Gayle McLeod, Cynthia Kubicz (John) and Gary Larocque (Celine). She will also be missed by many extended family members and close friends. Mom cherished her family. We knew that we were her priority and she was always there to support and encourage us. Mom spent her life making the most of every moment and even during challenging times she remained positive and strong. She lived life with an open heart. Whether it was a person, animal or moment she accepted everything and everyone fully. Mom was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, where she spent many happy evenings dancing with her good friend and companion the late Joe Zagorski. Mom enjoyed our family vacations, having a glass of wine with friends and family and walking her loyal dogs. Her sparkle and love will always remain in all of us. Private cremation has taken place and a family interment will take place in Trois-Riveries, Quebec at a later date. If desired, donations in her memory to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 60 or The Burlington Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
