It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Marshall Zalla at Alexander Place in Waterdown, ON, on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at the age of 92. Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Luisa; and sister, Mafalda. Survived by his cousins in Burlington, Milton, Guelph and Italy. Marshall will also be missed by extended family and friends who will remember him for his sense of humour and spirited character. Special thank you to the nurses, doctors, staff and “girlfriends” at Alexander Place for the excellent care provided. Visitation will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333, on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 4-7pm, with vigil prayers at 5pm. Private family interment to be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Marshall’s memory to a charity of choice would be sincerely appreciated.
